Weapon ReferencesThis is a sheet of reference for each weapon's more complicated attacks, as most of them were taken from popular media. If you are having a hard time understanding the descriptions I have wrote, check this out for a video that will make the concept easier to visualize.   
Name: Buster Sword  Description: This is Cloud’s signature sword from Final Fantasy VII. Most of the attacks for this sword are based off of Cloud’s Limit Breaks, excluding his final attack. The MeteoRain attack is based more on how Zack performs it in Crisis Core though. If any reference is needed, look on Youtube or ask me.

Weapon DescriptionsName: Buster Sword  Traits: High level of strength             Over-powering attacks  
           Direct blocking over dodging  Element: Energy  Description: An over-sized sword that requires strength and accuracy to wield. The wide end of the blade can also be used to block.   
Abilities   
Braver: Character jumps in the air and brings the sword down on the enemy. Can also be used in midair.   
Blade Beam: A blade of energy shot along the ground.

Tournament RulesConcept   
This is a creative arts tournament. For each round of the tournament the participants will submit a short story, a hand drawn comic, a sprite comic, or a short flash. The submitted media will feature the maker’s character winning a fight against his/her opponent for the given round. For each pairing in the round, judges will decide which of the two submissions is better and the selected entry is declared the winner of the battle.   
Details   
For this tournament, your chosen character doesn’t matter. Each participant will choose a weapon from a set created specifically for this tournament. T Tournament Rules

Tournament start!

Alright peoples, the tournament is ready to start! I apologize about the HUGE delay. First computer troubles, then internet troubles...let's just say things kinda fell apart literally the day before I intended to start. So, here is the information you need.

Since things are a little late and spring break is coming up, the due date for the first round entries is: April 30th

If you can, get them in sooner. Once everyone has submitted, the judging can begin, so the next round may start sooner

Alright, now I'll go over a few other loose ends that you guys have been asking about.

One, submitting a character is not necessary, but if you'd like the other participants to use a specific character for the matches, you can submit one and I'll post it on this account.

Two, when making your entry, be sure to keep your weapon's Traits in mind. The character you use will have little effect on the judging, so follow the Traits whenever possible. Also keep your opponent's Traits in mind, since you'll be judged on how well you portray both weapons.

Three, be creative! Even though you're supposed to win the fight you submit, don't make things one-sided in your favor. It'll be much more interesting if you can find ways around your weaknesses and have the opponent do the same. Always keep in mind that you are basically choreographing two people, not just one.

One final note, because of the smaller scope of the tournament, I'm going to post all six of each weapon's Abilities. However, the final ability cannot be used in this first round. That will be unlocked in the next round.
